Susan Ross Counselling
My experience as an integrative counsellor has been enriched by my background in both the financial services industry and the voluntary sector. This has given me insight into the challenges we face of balancing all aspects of our lives, both personal and professional, and of building and maintaining healthy relationships.
This life experience has been invaluable in my work as a counsellor during my time working within diverse charitable organisations such as ASCA (Addiction Support and Care Agency) and Sutton Women’s Centre to working within the NHS Putneymead Group Medical Practice and in private practice.
I use an integrative approach combining different types of therapies to suit your needs. Every client is different and therefore I draw on psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioural therapies together with mindfulness techniques to work with you in an open and collaborative relationship.
Qualifications : Diploma Therapeutic Counselling, BA Hons. Courses: Mindfulness and Family Therapy, Eating Disorders and Co-Dependency, Working with Deliberate Self -Harm, Working with Suicidal Clients, Coaching Awareness Training, Motivational Interviewing, Couples Dynamics.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by its code of ethics.
